Dolphins are extremely intelligent and friendly creatures. For that reason they have won the affection of many people who melt just when they see their occurrences. But today we must talk about one of these creatures not only falls in love but has won the applause of many for its generosity. His name is Mystique, a 29-year-old male humpback dolphin who has become a treasure ʜᴜɴᴛᴇʀ.

He has developed the habit while the cafe has been under lockdown, so with a lack of visitors, he’s been trying to sweet talk the volunteers at the centre to bring him more fish. His personality has been the first hook to win the hearts of many, since Mystique is a quite generous boy.

Every time an employee of the place or any other person approaches the shore to greet him and play for a while, the grateful creature usually rewards him with a special gift. Mystique plunges into the depths of the sea to collect the most curious details for his visits. According to Lyn McPherson, a dolphin feeding volunteer, he had often displayed ‘giving behaviour’ before, but it had increased while the Tin Can Bay cafe has been shut to tourists during ᴄᴏʀᴏɴᴀᴠɪʀᴜs. The dolphin uses its mouth and nose to transport from pieces of wood, shells and corals that it masterfully balances until it is delivered into the hands of its visitor.

Everyone in the area is in awe of the hobby the creature has developed and comes regularly to greet it. Local employees have stated that this behavior was something that Mystique developed on his own, it seems that the creature finds a lot of amusement in surprising humans with its details. Speaking to ABC, Lyn said: “One male dolphin brings in objects on his rostrum, or beak, and then he carefully presents them to us. “What we have to do is give him a fish in return. We haven’t trained him, but he has trained us to do this. “He gets under it [and] if he drops it too far out, or we say ‘come on, that’s not good enough’, then he gets underneath it and brings it to us.” This little friend is quite a peculiar dolphin.

Apparently this friend did not receive training for this trick but the matter has been so tender that many are encouraged to give him some delicious food after surprising them with its details. Now everything has returned to a medium normality, as the tourist center reopened its doors and expects at least 200 people to visit the place daily.

There is no doubt that this dolphin is really cute and intelligent, let’s hope everyone takes care of it so that its life lasts for many years!
